Hello beauty brains, this is my first question and it's been very helpful to read your posts. I have a little problem with my hair. I lova a morning shower but of course my wet hair gives me trouble. I have less than 15 minutes to get ready after my shower so I really need a hair product/products that i can use in the morning (along with blow dryer if necessary) that can turn my hair from wet to "acceptable". I realize there's no "perfect" hairstyle in this very short time but i need at least something that can take me to college
    Thanks a lot

I'm not sure you have many options here. Maybe you could start showering at night? Or get up earlier in the morning so that you have time to blow dry your hair or let it air dry. You could also use some products in it to 'scrunch' your hair, however it will still be wet but will at least be styled.

How about washing and basic styling your hair in the evening and shower with a shower cap in the morning? You don't have to wet or wash your hair every day. Actually, your hair would probably feel better if you didn't. Another alternative is to get up earlier ;)

Another tip is to use a microfibre towel for your hair. It absorbs more water, which is making the final blow drying a bit quicker.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't need a shower cap? Seriously -- it's not hard to clean yourself in the shower without wetting your hair, or at least not much. Just wash your face with a washcloth.

You could cut your hair short. =) I'd understand if you didn't want to, but it takes so little time to style.
  2.

I shower in the am, use the microfiber towel(s) to soak up as much as possible, and... use my commute to dry my hair.  AC in summer,  heat (w/A/C button on to reduce humidity) in the wniter.  Works fine.  My commute is about 30 mins.

Janis - probably. I've been known to get at least parts of my hair soaking wet even when wearing a showercap!

I don't bother with styling. I wash, I comb out the tangles, put in a little pomade or mouse for some control, pull it up along two sides, rubberbands, topsy-tail, and leave it alone. Course I'm fat so I don't really care about my appearence much. Doesn't matter to me if my hair gets all "ratty" looking through the day. So Neveen, my way probably isn't for you. But I see nothing wrong with wash-and-wear hair.

I've never found short hair easier to style. Back in the day, when mine was short, it took forever -- blow dryers, curling irons, mouuse, and tons of crap.

It's long enough now that people ask me if I've EVER cut it, and it takes seven seconds (and it's easier to keep dry in the shower since I bun it up completely). The longer the hair, the easier to care for, IME.
  3.
I used to have a pixie cut, and that was probably the easiest to maintain. Put some styling product in after the shower and go. Mid-length (jaw length) has proved to be the most difficult so far -- its not quite long enough to put up (and it stay up) so I have to blowdry every day.

I think unstyled hair looks better sometimes. I used to have really long hair and would put it up in a loose kind of bun and let it air dry. By the time it dried it was wavy and actually looked better than I could have ever styled it... You could also try showering at night and doing the old fashioned curlers in overnight and skip the morning shower.
